His title at WBC is Site Manager; he gets to do the fun things like planning projects & working with staff and many volunteers to make the projects real. Cornie and his wife Margaret live in Winkler and enjoy spending time with their family, especially their 9 grandchildren that provide the therapy they need. They are also very active in the Christian Faith Church as deacon couple.
Mark Sawatzky
Mark joined the ministry here at Winkler Bible Camp in the spring of 2005 as the Director of Programming, primarily in charge of summer camp. Jeff is a former youth pastor with a heart for cross-cultural learning and biblical studies. The Banmans are a football-loving family who enjoy coloring, the outdoors and potty training.
Davis Wieler
What started out as a fun way of spending the summer eventually developed into a full-time position for Davis. Since 2000 he´s been working at maintaining the WBC main site . Camp has provided him with a plethora of opportunities and experience, from working with children to rebuilding diesel engines, and everything in between! In addition to his responsibilities, a new role for Davis this summer will be directing our Mission Point site where he hopes to master the art of windsurfing!
Bob Reimer
Bob, his wife (Rachelle) and their two kids (Kayla and Darian) moved to WBC from Plum Coulee in November 2007. Bob enjoys hunting, playing guitar, reading, and being outdoors with his family. Bob serves as our group host for schools, families, churches, etc. Both Rachelle and Bob have a strong connection with the camp. Combined, they have spent 15 summers here as staff, went through the LTC program (now called Crosscurrent), were married here, and made many great friends here.
Roma Wieler
Roma has been a dedicated staff member since 2001. During most of her time at camp she has lacked an official title, and has willingly done various necessary tasks. She is an expert in cleaning, painting, raking, digging trenches, and much more, including cooking both at main site and Mission Point. In addition to camp work she has been involved in short-term missions in Cambodia, Mexico, and Belize. At the end of a busy day, she enjoys relaxing with a good book.
