WBC Statement of Faith
We believe...
1.The divine, verbal inspiration of the Bible.
2.That there is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
3.That Satan is a real personality, being the enemy of God and the author of sin.
4.That man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred for himself and for the whole human race, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God.
5.That the Lord Jesus Christ died for man's sin, that He will come a second time, and that all who believe on Him have the forgiveness of sins through His shed blood.
6.That the Christian life is to be separated unto God, conforming to the teaching of the Bible, and dedicated to the service of Christ.
7.The bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; the everlasting blessedness of the believers and the everlasting conscious punishment of the unbelievers.
8.That the church, the body of Christ, consists of all true believers, and is seen organized in local churches in accordance with the scripture.
And Promote the Practice...
of the Christian life, which is the "abundant" life, characterized by joy and freedom. The camp provides opportunity for good personal and social enjoyments in areas of fellowship, sports, recreation, various skills, wholesome relationships, and Christian attitudes. This Christian freedom, in all realms is to be protected, particularly in the areas of ethical dangers. Hence, abstinence is expected from smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, abuse of drugs, and immoral behavior, lest we be hindered or distracted on our striving to live faithfully for Christ in our society.
