Our students are now serving on the Overseas Mission Trip in Belize. They're working hard with kids at day and overnight camps as well as training counselors all over the country. They'll take some time as well to enjoy God's creation in a beautiful tropical country. After the group returns on April 19th, they'll have a few days to rest a debrief and the year will conclude on April 24th with our Celebration Banquet.
Students have returned from Christmas break ready to begin a busy second semester. Preparation for the Overseas Mission Trip to Belize is already under way. Students will be serving with Belize Camping Experience helping to build the ministry of Christian camps in the country of Belize. Practices and set design for the Dinner Theatre will also begin shortly as students prepare to present a hilarious comedy call the Pirates of Friedenshanz . Many youth groups will also be visiting as our students host groups for a night of fun and worship. Our other major event is Over The Edge a night out with the Boys! Click Here for more details.

We have just returned from our Continental Mission Trip exhausted and excited for what God is doing. We again had some “excitement” with our bus breaking down again and an unexpected little stay in Fresno, CA waiting for us bus to be fixed. Through that experience our students were able to see God move in some really cool ways and we experienced some awesome answers to pray!
Our time in Mount Hermon, CA was full of meaningful service and lots of adventure. Students served in many different ways and were a true blessing to the camp we were serving. We also had the opportunity to ride the world’s highest canopy tour zip line, spend time at the beach and see the largest trees in the world!
Mexico was incredible once again. Students taught English at a Junior, led several kids clubs and earned some blisters working on a church and a house. Deep-sea fishing, mountain climbing and hitting the beach were also memorable events.
All in all, it was great to see how God moved in the lives of our students and staff and for the changed lives that were the result of this trip!
That's how long until year 11 kicks off on Sept 7!!! Awesome speakers are being booked, the Mission Trips are planned, we're ready to go . . . all we need are a few more students! Are you 18-24 and looking for an environment where you grow deep in your walk with God? Do you want to see what God is doing in places like California, Mexico, Belize and Cambodia? Do you want to do this affordably? Then we may be the place for you. There are still a few spaces open for September and we'd love to talk with you more about Cross Current.
Year 10 Complete! Wednesday, April 23th marked the final day for this years Cross Current students. Fresh off their mission trips to Cambodia and Belize, students and staff relived the year at our Celebration Banquet. Cross Current staff took time to encourage and bless each student individually recalling how God had moved in and through them this year. The banquet was a great time to celebrate all God had done and yet a sad time for many students as they said farewell to friends that had become like family.
Our students have now all returned safe and sound (and a little tired) from their Overseas Mission Trip. A group of 12 were in Belize and 11 were in Cambodia serving God through youth and childrens ministry. The stories are too numerous to post here, but it is safe to say that God moved in many ways in the lives of our students and in the lives of those we ministered to. The cultural differences and extreme heat and humidity created many opportunities to lean on each other and to lean on God. Many students were so moved by what they experienced that they are already making plans to return in the future!
Another huge blessing was that each of our students were able to raise the entire cost of the trip through our fundraising efforts which meant the trip was not a financial burden to any of our students. Praise God! Throughout the past eight months we have learned over and over how good our God is and how wise it is for us to trust Him with everything.
Suspect Hollywood will run for 4 nights March 13-16! What happens when a movie director promises too lead roles? How desperate can actors be to get the dream part? To what lengths will they go? There's only one way to find out . . . Call us at 204-325-9519 to reserve your tickets today! Our Dinner Theatre is a free will offering with proceeds going towards both our Continental and Overseas Mission Trips. We would love to see you there!
What a trip! 9591 kilometres and one amazing God! The stories we could tell . . Our team had a great experience serving God in both Santa Cruz, California as well as in San Carlos and Arizpe, Mexico. Despite all the great ministry opportunities and service projects, the highlight for many students was still our bus breaking down in Aberdeen, Idaho. We saw God move in amazing ways and saw incredible answers to prayer. If you want to hear the whole story, you’ll just have to ask . . .
Our tenth year of Cross Current is off to a great start as students arrived on September 9th to begin their Adventure with God! This year's 21 students come Manitoba (17), New Brunswick (2), Ontario (1) and Mexico (1).
We began our time together with a 3-day retreat at our Mission Point site where we enjoyed the freezing cold nights, gale force winds and hot coffee! Despite less than perfect weather, the students shared their stories with one another, worshipped together and began preparing for where God will take them this year.
The renovations to the Cove (student lounge) are finally complete. We have expanded the lounge, put in new carpet and put pine and fresh paint on the walls. The Barn is also now a WiFi hotspot so that students with laptops can be connected to the world anywhere in the classroom or lounge. We are very grateful for all those who helped with the improvements to The Cove and the computer room.
